Create your own short story or comic book and submit it by Oct. 31 for a chance to win!
Ages 13-19
Nightmares have inspired many stories. One of the most famous is Frankenstein, which was written by 18 year old Mary Shelley for a ghost story writing contest with her friends. Since its publication in 1818, Frankenstein has inspired countless other works, including theatrical, film, and comic book adaptations. We're looking for your own unique short story (1000-word max.) or comic book inspired by dreams and nightmares. Email (teen_librarians@mrcpl.org) or drop off your submissions by Oct. 31 for a chance to win! For extra inspiration, pick up a themed activity bag from Butler, Crestview, Main, Ontario, or Plymouth. While supplies last.
